A total of 5,037 concerts performed by highly skilled professional musicians were provided throughout the UK during 2009-10. 1,697 of these concerts took place at 587 separate hospitals and care establishments in Scotland.
58 of them were first time visits.
All concerts north of the border:
- were performed by musicians based in Scotland
- were administered from Music in Hospitals' office in Edinburgh
- were supported by funds raised from Scotland
Where the concerts took place:
- 769 in hospitals
- 49 in hospices
- 739 in care homes
- 140 in day care centres
