A total of 4,967 concerts performed by highly skilled professional musicians were provided nationally during 2008-9. 1,661 of these concerts took place at 532 separate hospitals and care establishments in Scotland.
36 of them were first time visits.
All concerts north of the border:
- were performed by musicians based in Scotland
- were administered from Music in Hospitals' office in Edinburgh
- were supported by funds raised from Scotland
Where the concerts took place:
- 770 in hospitals
- 44 in hospices
- 710 in care homes
- 137 in day care centres
